The European Boxing Council (EBC) has created the EBC European Championship, with the intentions of providing European promoters and boxers an opportunity to participate. This enables European professional boxers the opportunity to work their way up through the European Boxing Council (EBC) rankings and once successfully established as a EBC European Champion enable them to become ranked accordingly in order to progress, via established International and Intercontinental Championships onto World Championship status.

The European Boxing Council (EBC) also focuses on various aspects of professional boxing with the intention of working towards improvements within the sport.

Consistency in the officiating of contest is a major concern for the European Boxing Council (EBC). As such, during the European Boxing Council (EBC) Annual Convention, a full day is dedicated to professional seminars, including a Judge’s seminar and a Referee’s seminar. The aim of these seminars is to achieve uniformity in judging and refereeing of professional boxing contests.

In addition to ensuring high standards of officiating, the European Boxing Council (EBC) actively strive to actively improve on the health and safety of boxers. As such, the European Boxing Council (EBC) hold regular medical seminars throughout Europe, with the purpose of enlightening Professional Boxing Coaches, who are closest to the boxer before, during and after a fight on the signs of possible serious injury and how to potentially avoid such a situation.

The principal goal of the European Boxing Council (EBC) is to provide talented European professional boxers the opportunity of making a name for themselves by publicly recognizing their talents.

The European Boxing Council (EBC) independent and unbiased ratings system contributes to the growth, longevity and continued success of professional boxing worldwide.
